I have a USB modem which some times locks up in the firmware and won't respond until it has been power cycled. The modem is attached to a remote device so it would be better if some software could restart the modem instead of having to send some one out to restart it.

So far I have been trying to open the usb hub and set the port power feature off and then on again. The code I have been using so far is as follows.
