Robbins and cotran pathologic basis of disease 8th edition 2010

It has been a particular pleasure for me to review the eighth edition and compare it with the third edition of the text that I used in medical school and to the seventh edition published in The editors and the authors have maintained the text as the gold standard for the education of medical students and residents. As some medical schools shrink the amount of pathology taught to medical students, Robbins Pathology will become even more important to those young physicians who wish to have a solid understanding of the basics of disease processes.

Ultimately, all physicians and nonphysicians who work on diseases come across fundamental questions in their area of interest. It is refreshing to know that a well-written up-to-date resource is available to all and at a very reasonable price. As I prepare this review, the eighth edition has been out for about 2 months, and already the first printing of the professional edition is sold out, and additional texts are anticipated to become available soon.
