If you are in XP Wednesday, April 9, AM. Are you talking about Web site projects or winform projects? I think in case of Web sites, VS creates these folders to store the solution files. If you are working with Winform projects, you will be able to use a path as you specify when you create a new project.

I suppose it has to be there for VS safety reasons, but didn't know how to redirect that to the folder I wanted. Right now I'm back to XP and as long as I've been with it also redirecting everything to the folder I prefer , there isn't any folder that I don't want like in Vista.
